It is not made explicit how many years have passed, but it can't have been more than a decade (and this is quite a short span given how many years passed between books four … The ending of Chapterhouse: Dune is, in my opinion, one of the better endings in the Dune series as a whole, if not the best. Though the series never saw the completion Frank Herbert had intended for it, I feel like the conclusion in this book does it justice and ends it all in a satisfying manner.. The Final Verdict.
